Manifestation

I recently watched the movie, Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. There is a scene in the beginning of the movie in which Charlie Bucket’s family is talking about Charlie finding one the 5 Golden Tickets. Charlie’s mom comments that the likelihood wasn’t very high because there were a lot of people in the world. Grandpa Joe states that Charlie is going to find the ticket because he wants it more.” If only life really worked that way…. 

Several years ago I watched the Netflix special The Secret. The secret is simple: the law of attraction. Essentially, the law of attraction states that whatever consumes your thoughts is what you will eventually get in life. So, if you think of all the things you don’t want in your life, you’ll only get the things you don’t want. By contrast, if you only envision the things you want in your life, then you will get everything you want in life. Negative begets negative and positive begets positive. Pretty simple, right? There are multiple ways to manifest what you want in life—and depending on who you ask, the most effective ones depend on who you ask. The thoughts we feel and think influence or lives greatly. If we use the Law of Attraction correctly, it can help us achieve our dreams. Whether you want to manifest money, love, a new career, you can use multiple manifestation techniques to guide your life. I am going to present some different ones you might want to try, and you can see which one works best for you.  

Truthfully, manifestation doesn’t work alone. You have to put effort into what you want. Manifestation does align your thoughts with your goals. That means that as you put your thoughts into becoming what you want, you also need to think about what you can do to actualize your thoughts. This explains why people don’t get results, even if they have been manifesting something for a long time. You have to put the work in—you can’t just manifest and hope for the best. If you have the potential to reach your goals, then manifestation acts as a tool to help you nurture your beliefs, so you can attract what you want in life. How can you attract what you want in life? 

The Gratefulness Method. When you want to manifest your dreams, the simple place to start is with gratitude. Start with a gratitude journal. It’s one of the best things I have ever done. Every day I write 5 things I am grateful/thankful/glad for—no matter how bad my day was. No matter how bad things seem, you can always find things to be grateful for. It’s important to be grateful for what you have. If you want money, you need to be grateful for the money you have. When you are thankful for what you have in life, the universe gives you more to be thankful for. Gratitude attracts gratitude. Therefore, if you have been manifesting career development for years, but you are not seeing career growth, the theory is you are probably not being grateful for the career development you’ve already made. 

The more grateful you are for the present moment, the more blessings you attract because you are emitting a positive message to the Universe—you get what you give. Sounds simple, right? But being positive isn’t always easy—especially when you don’t feel you have anything to be positive for. You don’t need to be grateful for huge things—the little things will suffice.  

I spend a few minutes every night before I go to bed—choosing the 5 things that gave me gratitude for the day. For me, the important thing is to contemplate what I am grateful for and put my energy into it. When you keep emitting feelings of thankfulness every day, you raise your energy vibrations, so you can receive what you want from the Universe. 

The 555 Method. This one is really about time and effort. You state what you want to manifest 55 times for 5 straight days. Your intention is clear when you are taking the time to clearly state what you want in life 55 times throughout the day. If you choose this technique, focus on one affirmation at a time—otherwise, you can become overwhelmed by too much. Plus, if you are trying to focus on too much, you could get distracted, which is the opposite of what you want to do when you are manifesting. You don’t want to confuse yourself or the Universe. For this technique, it’s important to follow these guidelines: 

  • Decide what you want then turn your thoughts into an affirmation. 
  • Stick with the affirmation. 
  • Write down your desire 55 times at one time. 
  • Repeat what you have written 5 days without stopping focusing all your faith and energy on your affirmation then watch as your desire becomes a reality. 

17 Seconds. Of all the manifestation practices, this is the easiest one to perform. All you need is 17 seconds of undistracted focus to set your manifestations into motion. It’s quick. It’s easy, and you can apply it immediately. If you do it correctly, this technique can help you attract the life you want quickly. Do this in the morning before you get out of bed—daydream about what you really want for 17 seconds. Don’t let your mind wander. Just remember: don’t expect results immediately. This manifestation technique is intended to align you with goals to help you achieve what you want.  

The Movie Method. Again, this method is simple. Visualize what you want to achieve the life you want before it happens. The movie method helps you make visualization super simple. If you wanted to buy a new house, watch HGTV—a show like House Hunters would suffice. Just watch something that reflects the desire you want to manifest, and then visualize the manifestation. You can watch as many movies as you want while you are trying to manifest your desire. Just make sure the movies you choose reflect what you really want to manifest. 

The Pillow Method. Your pillow is important. One of the most important things you own. This method of manifestation. The moments you are falling to sleep, and the instant you wake up are vital to your day—this method implies that these times of the day are integral to helping you manifest your dreams. Write down what you want to manifest on a piece of people and place it under your pillow before you go to sleep. According to theory, doing so helps you streamline your thoughts as you are sleeping. The pillow method also helps you actualize your last thought and desire. The idea is you go to sleep with good intentions and wake up with positive thoughts about what you want. 

The Give More Method. Give to others, feel good. Your vibration, energy, thinking ability, etc. is also elevated thus you can do more to achieve more. You can give to anyone. You don’t need to give everything or more than you can, just do the best you can. There are always ways we can give: volunteer, pick up trash, pay someone’s bill, teach, or make someone smile. There are always ways we can make others’ lives better, and in turn, make our lives better. 

A Vision Board. If you have seen a Hallmark movie, you have seen a vision board. Vision boards are also known as dream boards. Use a piece of paper/ cardboard etc., and create a board of what you’d like to achieve. For instance, my friend took a picture of herself with a pillow in her shirt because she wanted to envision herself as pregnant. She hung it up in her kitchen where she could regularly see it. Now, she’s pregnant. Make sure if you use this method, you are clear on what you want. The clearer you are, the easier it will be to manifest the things you want in life.  

The Prayer Practice Method. You don’t have to be religious or spiritual to utilize this technique of manifestation. This method is just telling the Universe what you want. This shows the Universe you want help in achieving your goals/dreams, etc. Prayers are your intentions to the Universe. You can do this method anytime or anywhere. I like to talk to the Universe at night before I go to bed. I like to talk to the stars. This helps me remember how inconsequential, yet great, I am. When you talk to the Universe, make sure you are not distracted, and it’s quiet. Spend around 5-10 minutes silently telling the Universe what you want. You’ll feel it in your heart, and you’ll feel it in your soul.  

The Permission Practice Technique. You may want a better life, but that doesn’t just happen. You have to give yourself permission to have a better life. Life tells us we can’t achieve things because we don’t have the money or job, etc. But, who or what is stopping us? Some of these beliefs stop us from achieving our goals. No one is stopping you from achieving what you want but you. Try saying things like: 

  • I permit myself to_____________. 
  • I am open to__________________. 
  • I can______________________. 

The Cup Manifestation Exercise. This method may seem crazy, but it is one of the most effective manifestation techniques you can use. All you need to practice this method are 2 cups of glasses and water. Now what you need is to drink water using a cup labeled with your desire. 

To do this manifestation method, follow the steps below: 

  • Pick two labels. 
  • On one label, write down your desire or what you wish to manifest, and then on the other label write down your current status. 
  • Stick the two labels on two different cups then fill them with water. 
  • Now drink the water with the label with your current status as well as that with the desire you wish to manifest. 

Make sure you are in the right mind when you practice this technique. 

Scripting. Write down all the things you wish to manifest as if they have already happened. I do this one in my manifestation journal. I manifest my future job. I manifest a beautiful and healthy smile. All in gratitude. As if I have it already. 

The Manifestation Box. The Manifestation Box is the way you send a direct message to the Universe. The message doesn’t have to be written—it could be an object or image you wish to manifest. If you read my last blog, this is what Kindred Spirit represented for me and my kismet situation. Whatever way you choose, put your desire into the box, and then wait for the Universe to bring you what you desire. Using this technique will help you clear any resistance that could hinder you from your manifestations. 

Acting As If. This method is also known as the pretending method. Live as if you have already achieved your desires. This method implies you attract what you are, and not what you want. Live life as if you already have what you want. Like you already have your dream job, car, house, etc. This technique raises your energy to the level that matches the person you want to come. 

Some tips for manifestation 

  • Be joyful 
  • Know what you want 
  • Manifest one goal at a time 
  • Use the technique that works best for you and your situation. You can try different techniques to see which one suits your needs best.  
  • Get rid of your abundance blocks: negativity, hindrances, distractions, etc. 

Most importantly: INTENTION. How you think, feel, act, your beliefs, etc. encompasses your intention. Deciding what you want in life isn’t enough. Manifestation takes practice. Your actions need to align with your visions. The more you manifest, the more likely you’ll achieve your dreams.
